Most users do not need to download this file to get this firmware. Instead, you can download Line 6 Monkey, the intelligent updater, to install this firmware.
Warning! This update is for PODxt only. Attempting to load this update into a Bass PODxt will render your device useless.
This free Version 2 update dramatically improves the overall tone of the PODxt, adds more Amp and Cab Models, adds a new EQ block, increases the number of Channel Memories from 64 to 128, and makes numerous other improvements. It also allows you to add optional Model Packs.
When you run Monkey with an Internet connection, it will directly download the most up-to-date Flash Memory for you. If you do not have an Internet connection available on the computer you will use for updating, you can instead (1) download this Flash File, (2) launch Line 6 Monkey while your PODxt is connected via direct USB connection or MIDI cables, (3) select the Updates tab in Line 6 Monkey, (4) select the Flash Firmware item (5) click the Update From File button, (6) locate this Flash Memory file on your computer, open it, and the Monkey will use it to update your PODxt. You should also be sure to update your USB Firmware, and use the most up-to-date Driver software.

Network Diagnostic Utility

This is a Windows utility that gathers network connectivity information about your system and saves it in a text file.
No data is transmitted to Line 6 when you run this utility - it only generates a text file which you can then email to Line 6 to help diagnose connection problems.
You only need this utility if you are having problems with connecting to GuitarPort Online or updating your PODxt family member’s USB firmware.

You'll need Line 6 Monkey, the intelligent updater, to install this or any other firmware. Most users do not need to download this firmware file separately, since Line 6 Monkey can get the Firmware for you directly from the Internet.
This is the last PODxt Flash Memory that was released before the free Version 2 upgrade was released for PODxt and PODxt Pro. It lacks the dramatic sound improvement and additional Amp Models and FX capabilities added by Version 2, and does not allow you to use Model Packs.
